St. John receives $413,414 D.O.C. solar grant for well

The town of St. John plans to be saving some green by going green.

Last week the town was awarded a $413,414 solar grant for installation of a 100 kilowatt solar unit next to Well #5 which is located near the east entrance of town on the north side of Highway 23, near the former Arrow Machinery building.

“The solar panel will essentially run that well,” said Mayor K.B. Trunkey.
