Ag drone demo set at Whelan Hall Sat.

On Saturday, June 10, there will be a presentation on the latest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology and how to use it for field mapping, crop inspection, aerial photography and recreational flying.

The event will be at the Whelan Grange Hall along Highway 27 just north of the Albion-Pullman Road intersection. A breakfast will be served by the grange for $8 per plate. Displays, videos and flight demonstrations will be available for review during the breakfast hours. Presentation will begin at 10 a.m.

Demonstrations will be given by Ryan Pope of Lewiston, who is working on the development of a hybrid drone which combines electric and gas power and by Jeff Solbrack of Papé.
