Cluster zone hearing set

An appeal hearing has been set for 11 a.m. May 1 for the denial of a re-zone request on a 22-acre agricultural zone off Airport Road east of Pullman. The change would have made it a cluster residential district.

The matter did not pass at the Planning Commission hearing April 15, with one member of five voting against it. By law, five positive votes are required from the current six-member board. The board's official size is set at nine.

Eric Busch, owner of the land, filed to appeal the decision. The site is the location of a planned residential development named Thunder Eagle.
