Massage business starts up in LaCrosse

Shenette Cross, wife of Selbu pastor John Cross, recently finished studies at the Tri-City School of Massage, passed the certification test and has now opened Gifted Hands Massage in LaCrosse.

“I love being in LaCrosse,” she said. “I feel at home, and I love doing massage and helping people.”

Shenette moved to this area from the Philippines in 2015 and married Cross. She came here with five years of massage experience in the Philippines, but she was required to go through school here in order to obtain a certification.

Shenette graduated in May of 2016 from the massage school and briefly worked in Othello as a massage therapist.

“She's starting to get clients. There isn't one rancher or farmer who doesn't need a good massage,” her husband noted.

Shenette has set up shop at Jeannine's Hair Salon at 207 S Clark Avenue in LaCrosse. She is open on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday by appointment.

Shenette specializes in Swedish massage, hot stone massage and a Chinese suction cup therapy.

“Most people just like a Swedish massage,” she said.

She charges $40 for a one-hour massage, and appointments can be made by text, call or email.
