Oakesdale adds 2 wins; Eagles book SE split

Oakesdale added two wins to remain undefeated in the SE volleyball race this week, and Pomeroy picked up a win in the Tuesday round to remain a game behind the Nighthawks in the league race.

Pomeroy dropped SJE 25-11, 25-5 and 25-11 Tuesday on its home court with Kacey Halbert hitting 11 kills and Hallie Tardif rapping six aces.

The Pirates hosted St. John after getting the league bye in the Thursday round.

St. John made the trip south after posting a big win over Colton in four games in the Thursday round. The Eagles are now 4-4 in the league race, and Colton stands at 6-2.

Line score for the win at St. John was 26-24, 18-25, 25-19 and 25-23.

Jadyn Corder hit 13 kills, and Glory Dickerson put up 25 assists in the win. Hunter Hollingsworth had 17 digs and nine blocks for the Eagles.

Kendyl Druffel had 11 kills for Colton, and Jordyn Moehrle had 19 digs.

Georgia Meyer hit four aces, and Abby Kelley put up 28 assists.

Oakesdale defeated Garfield/Palouse 25-10, 25-14 and 25-12 Tuesday with Jacey Johnson hitting 13 kills and Madison Shrope putting up 34 assists.

The Nighthawks, now 8-0, Thursday dropped Prescott 25-7, 25-9 and 25-6 with Johnson hitting 12 kills and Shrope putting up 13 assists. Lindsey Lindgren rapped 13 aces.

LaCrosse/Washtucna/ Kahlotus defeated Waitsburg 3-1 in the Thursday round to advance their mark to 4-3. The Tuesday Colton match at Kahlotus was moved back to Oct. 27, and the Tigercats will travel to Oakesdale tonight to face the league leaders.
