Crews apply new track surface

Work continues Tuesday at the Colfax track.

Colfax Superintendent Jerry Pugh gave an update Monday night to the school board on the athletic complex work.

The track's base layer of the actual track surface was applied Monday at a cost of more than $20,000, which was less than anticipated.

“It went off without a hitch,” Pugh reported.

Tuesday was set for prepping, scrubbing and leveling. All remaining materials needed were at the site.
