Colfax XC runners hit the mud

Colfax cross country team opened the season Tuesday with the two-mile mud run at the Northwest Christian jamboree. Runners were not timed in the event.

Carson Cloaninger, who was among the top five runners for most of the event, led the Bulldog finishers. Other runners for the Colfax boys, in order, were Chase Baerlocher, Riley Griffiths, Josh Goebel, Austin Ring and Doug Wilson.

Alicia Knee led the Colfax girls with Rebekah Huber following. New runners for Colfax on the girls side include Isabelle Erickson, Kiah Miller and Chelsea Becker.

Next Tuesday the team will compete in a league meet at the Wilbur Golf course with the Wilbur-Creston Wildcats as hosts.
