Randy Davis will add chore service to his snow plowing business

Randy Davis, Colfax, has started Davis Snow Plowing & Handyman Services after a 20-year career at Almota Elevator.

He's the man on the four-wheeler with a five-foot plow on front. Now he's adding to his business.

Randy Davis, who has plowed snow for hire and otherwise since 2001 in Colfax, is now making it official with Davis Snow Plowing & Handyman Services, LLC.

“I want to help some of these older folks who can't do chores. They shouldn't be getting up on a ladder,” he said.

Aside from snow plowing, his services will range from cleaning gutters to grocery shopping.

“Daily service, weekly service, monthly or yearly,” Davis said. “It's endless, I'll clean anything. I'm gonna try to say yes. If I can do it, I'll do it.”

Not a contractor, Davis is a handyman, a 20-year employee of Almota Elevator until July.

A 1980 graduate of Colfax High School, he grew up around Rima Building Supply in Colfax.

He got started plowing and built up clients such as Ace, Avista, CenturyLink, apartment buildings and Whitman County Library.

He gets up at 3 a.m. and checks the conditions.

“I always had to be at work by 7, down at the river, I was turning down work,” he said.

He will give free quotes.

“It's gonna be chore-based,” he said.
