Harvest scene at the finish line

Sprint boat fans Saturday during a break in the action at Webb's Slough in St. John had a chance to view harvest in action. The Steve Loomis crew was cutting a field on the north of Highway 23 across from the crowd of sprint boat fans who could view the action from the terraces at the slough. The Gazette camera lined up this long-lens photo so it appears the combine is going between the checkered flags just before the spinout pool at the end of the race course.
