Colfax Connects set at Jones Schoolhouse Sept. 7

A quarterly Colfax Connects session will be at the Jones Schoolhouse at the Palouse Empire Fairground at noon Wednesday, Sept. 7, the day before the start of the four-day fair. The meeting will bring together different groups and entities from around Colfax.

“It's really just a way so that all of us know what's going on and so we can advocate for each other,” said Valoree Gregory, Colfax unified executive director. “Usually we just have people go around saying what they're doing.”

The last Colfax Connects program meeting was at the Hyde Out in June. Gregory said about 25 people attended that session.

Fair vendors are expected to be open that day, and attendees are encouraged to purchase lunch from one of the vendors and then meet at the schoolhouse.
