Tuesdays with Morrie
slated at RTOP
“Tuesdays With Morrie” will be presented by Regional Theatre of the Palouse May 19-22 at 7:30 p.m. with 1:30 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday. This play is based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Mitch Albom, “Tuesdays With Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man and Life’s Greatest Lesson” will inspire and enrich its viewers.
Albom learned from a ''Nightline'' program that Morris Schwartz, his former sociology professor, was dying of A.L.S., or Lou Gehrig's disease, and he decided to contact him. Over a period of months, Schwartz and Albom met regularly on most Tuesdays. Albom taped the meetings and ''Tuesdays with Morrie'' is the result.
