A dozen new trees were planted on the Endicott school grounds in March.

“We planted 24 last year and 12 more this year,” grounds/transportation supervisor Gail Larson said. “We're just taking out the old ones and putting in some new ones for the future.”

Larson said the trees are being planted in a five-year phase.

“We'll do more on this end and then we'll start on a bunch more down below the pool building,” he said.

The trees planted included Sun Valley Maples, White Ashes, Frontier Elms and one Golden Linden.
