LaCrosse Community Pride is now accepting donations for the annual silent auction which will be Saturday, June 18, at the Gathering Place during the Farmers' Festival. Bids will be accepted on items from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. during the day. Donated items for the auction can be dropped off at Jasper Trucking.

Proceeds for the auction are used to maintain the Gathering Place and library sections of the LaCrosse Market Building. LaCrosse Community Pride is also responsible for upkeep of the fixtures at the store, and the freezer unit needs to be replaced. Estimated cost of the freezer is in the $7,000 range.

LaCrosse Library has received a grant from the Libri Foundation in partnership with the Junior Library Guild. With this money, the library is able to purchase books throughout the year which are tailored to meet the needs of children. This will be very beneficial to the children of the community.

Play and Learn Group at the LaCrosse Library will be Mondays, April 4, 11, 18 and 25, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This is also time for parents and caregivers to visit and share ideas. Toys, snacks and other helpful educational materials will be provided. Storytime is Thursdays, April 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
