Please believe them!

Presidential candidate Ben Carson has almost begged the public to believe that he tried to stab a friend. He also said he wanted to kill his mother with a hammer. Nobody believes him. He just cannot gain traction as a bad ass no matter how he tries. Most politicians deny any wrong doing, many to the point of perjury. Ben Carson, on the other hand, cannot convince the electorate that he is bad, too.

Please just believe him.

The general public is reportedly worried over terrorists in the country. They want something done, but don’t believe the government is doing all it can. Yet, known radicals are not turned over to the authorities before they slaughter innocent people. Based on evidence in the San Bernardino massacre and others, political correctness may be more important than helping to curb the violence.

They may not do anything to help, but please believe them, they want to be safe.

Rachel Dolezal was an important leader for the African-American community, both regionally and nationally. For years she passed as black. Even she had apparently convinced herself of it. Suddenly, it was revealed that she was white. As a result she lost her leadership positions and credibility. She just recently admitted to being white.

Please believe her whatever she says her race is next time.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump claims he wants to be president. Still, he offends and insults nearly every group of people that could help put him in office. About the only person he has had good words for is Vladimir Putin, the Russian president.

Believe him when he says he will be the greatest president ever.

Most parents want their children to be successful. They will do almost anything to see that happen. Just to make sure that the kids will know how to act when success hits them, parents are demanding that standards be lowered and that awards be given for participation, not necessarily for achievement. This approach to parenting guarantees that the coddled youngsters will be ill-prepared for the real world when merit, not mere attendance, counts.

Please believe them when they say they know what is best for their kids.

Of course, please believe Bill Cosby. Those 50 or so women are just picking on him. Please believe that Hilary Clinton had no sensitive national information on her private server. Please believe that Tom Brady didn’t think the footballs were soft. And, please believe everything Brian Williams says from now on.

Trust is important.
