Endicott Community Club finished the last touches on the Christmas lights Friday with the help of the Endicott/St. John Middle School children. On Saturday, Dec. 5, the lights were turned on. By 5 p.m. ,the Japanese lanterns were launched into the skies over Endicott. The fireworks followed.
Santa arrived in the back of the firetruck and went into Endicott Food Center to visit with each of the children, had pictures taken and gave them each a bag of candy.
Community Club members served many varieties of Christmas cookies, candy, coffee and hot chocolate. The store was filled with parents, children and other family members.
Piece Makers Quilting group met at the home of Anne Lowe for the annual Christmas potluck luncheon and gift exchange Dec. 2. Attending were Gail Bilow, Joyce Colvin, Fran Cutler, Jerine Grey, Helen Jane Hughes, Betty Jordan, Margaret Mackleit, Lorena Mattly, Norma Schultz, Sharon Storment, Ila Stuart, Cinda Tribble and Colleen Winchester.
Trinity Lutheran Church served soup and bread to the community Wednesday Dec. 2. More than 70 people enjoyed 10 different soups, a variety of breads and desserts.
Kathy Scholmer hosted two Christmas parties at her home. The first one, Dec. 3, was for the Womens' Farm Club of LaCrosse. The second was Dec. 4 for the women from Endicott, Winona, Benge and St. John.
Anne Lowe attended the Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Luncheon at the Methodist Church Monday 7.
