City logo design gets okay

The new Colfax city logo design, which was sidetracked at an earlier city council session, was approved Monday night's session. The logo features a simple skyline pattern with Colfax in block lettering beneath and a wheat stalk on the right site. The logo will make is first appearance on city letterheads, and will eventually appear on other promotional materials. Designers Francisco Aguilar and Robert Krikak have agreed to donate the copyright for the logo for one dollar each, Mayor Todd Vanek reported.
