Cornish awards sum to CHS grad

Kim Hinnenkamp, graduating senior at Colfax High School, has been awarded a $30,000 scholarship from the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. She is the daugther of John and Kristie Hinnenkamp. Cornish scholarships are awarded based on review of a students artwork which is presented prior to acceptance in the school and on high school grades. Hinnenkamp is the creator of one of the largest public pieces in Colfax, the portrait of a fish crashing thought the channel wall which can been seen from the south side of the Rosauer’s Parking lot.
