Washington State Department of Transportation staff considered all relevant environmental and social aspects for an 8 acres expansion of a quarry site (Garfield Quarry, QS-P-97) located east of Garfield in Whitman County. The site is approximately 2/3 of a mile east of State Route 27 on the north side of Garfield Farmington Road.
