CONDITONAL USE HEARING

The Port of Whitman County proposes a conditional use for the addition of 13 R.V. spots, and 4 cabins at Boyer Park, on 100 acres of property located in Whitman County in Secfion 19, Township 14 N., Range 43 E. W.M., Whitman County, Washington.

This project will be considered for a conditional use permit at a County Zoning Board of Adjustment public hearing set for Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 7:00 PM in the Public Service Building Auditorium, N. 310 Main St., Colfax, WA.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION

FOR A SHORELINE

MANAGEMENT ACT

SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT

Notice is hereby given that The Port of Whitman has filed a Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Applications (JARPA) for a Substantial Development Permit for a proposed expansion of Boyer Park and Marina on the Snake River. After a 30 day review period, Whitman County can approve and issue the permit on June 22, 2015. The applicant plans to construct up to four 12' x 16' pre-fabricated camp cabins and build a new septic system. This project includes the provision of 13 new RV spots but they will be beyond 200 feet from the shoreline and therefore not in shoreline jurisdiction. The cabins and the new septic system are within 200 feet of the Snake River which is a shoreline of the state.

A State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist is required for this proposal and was administered by the Port of Whitman.

Interested parties may submit signed comments before 4 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 for the Substantial Development Permit, to the County Planning Office, Whitman County Public Service Building (2nd Floor), Colfax, WA 99111-0430, or by fax (509)-397-6210. The Whitman County Planning Office issued a Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

Palouse Empire Fair (Whitman County) proposes a conditional use to add a I 00'x 25' expansion to the community building on 60 acres of property located in Whitman County in the N 112 of Section 20, Township 16 N., Range 43 E. W.M., Whitman County, Washington. After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

This project will also be considered for a conditional use permit at a County Zoning Board of Adjustment public hearing set for Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 7:00 PM in the Public Service Building Auditorium, N. 310 Main St., Colfax, WA.
