Cool ride on a hot day at Chipman & Taylor show

All types of vehicles from rat rods to muscle cars made the scene Saturday at the 27th annual car show at the Chipman & Taylor lot in Pullman marking a record of more than 200 entries. Loren Estes of Palouse entered the 1930 Ford street rod, middle, and Allen McSweeney of Colfax drove over to Pullman in his new creation, a 1926 Ford Model T speedster, top, which was turned out at his shop. The sponsors awarded trophies to the first three finishers in 15 different categories. The top two trophies, Best of Show and Peoples' Choice, went to Bill Spagnolia of Spanaway with a 1968 Ford Bronco and Harold Smith of Moscow with a 1940 Willys Coupe.
