Skate park corrections

An article about plans for a Palouse Skate Park in the March 19 edition of the Gazette contained mischaracterizations.

Organizer Aaron Flansburg was misquoted saying the design features “three covered steps opposite a 12-inch high manual pad.”

His correct statement was “curved,” not covered.

In addition, the article incorrectly noted a Palouse planning commission meeting March 17 in which the concerns about an “amphitheater” feature of the park were discussed. In fact, the meeting was not of the planning commission.
