Lentil festival wins five awards

The 2014 National Lentil Festival of Pullman won five awards at the Washington Festivals and Events Association’s Summit Awards at the Northwest Festivals & Events convention in Olympia March 15-17.

The lentil festival received gold awards for best commemorative poster and best new green program, and silver awards for best social media campaign, best other merchandise and best promotional brochure. All were in the budget category more than $75,000.

The poster entry included the 2014 poster by Kurt Snyder, and the green program submission included information about the single stream recycling program.
