A group of Garfield/Palouse girls who formed a choir a year ago under the direction of Rebecca Hemphill will sing the national anthem April 22 before the Seattle Mariners-Houston Astros game at Safeco Field. Last spring the girls, who then were all Garfield-Palouse Middle School students, showed up for volleyball game days dressed in school colors.
