Mark Webber selected for LEAP program

Colfax senior Mark Webber is one of 16 students selected to serve in the LEAP program sponsored by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. The committee is made up of eight juniors and eight seniors. Each member applied for the position as a sophomore and serves a two-year term.

LEAP stands for Leadership and Education, Activities and Personal Development. This year LEAP students are organizing a halftime basketball activity that will be unveiled at the 3A and 4A state basketball championship games.

The chosen halftime idea was developed by Webber, Cindy Huynh of Lindbergh High School, Sabrina Bozich of Hanford High School and Peyton Van Pevenage of Davenport High School.
