Hill-Ray board appoints Young

Steve Holberg, president of Hill-Ray Plaza, announced at a dinner party for the residents that the board of directors had voted to appoint Gary L. Young as the new general manager.

President Holberg had previously served as both president and general manager. He felt, with their new growth, it was time to have a full time manager.

Young started his new duties Nov. 1. Linda Greenhalgh continues her duties as office manager for Hill-Ray.

Young graduated from Colfax High School and attended junior college. Following several years working in the insurance business, he spent 27 years working in food businesses. Most of these years were in management, eventually becoming president of a regional company. During his last few years before retirement he returned to Colfax and again worked with insurance.
