EMS Team at work

Yesterday I witnessed a great group of men and women from our community, our EMS team, mostly volunteer. These folks descended upon our football field to give of their training, expertise, aid and comfort to a young jr. high football team lad who had broken his arm.

They did an extraordinary job, they were very officious, paid attention to detail and were quite professional in their dealings with the victim and the gathering crowd.

Please remember that this “team” is composed of our friends and neighbors who give freely of their time to perform this most valuable service.

Fight to win

I was a child when the second world war started. I remember Pearl Harbor. I have many memories of black out’s, Siren’s, etc.

The thing I remember the most, were the intention of all of us at home, that our soldier’s would vanquish the enemies.

What ever it took. Through our prayer’s at home, and the strategy of our leader’s, and the competence of our fighting men, we did win, and with, I believe, God’s help. Those could be the missing component’s in today’s wars.

Meanwhile,73 year’s later, there is a new strategy, if at all, by our government.

Make a resolution, that we are going to bomb ISIS, tell the world, plenty of time ahead, so they can prepare for our assault. Tell them, and us that we will not put boots on the ground. Then tell them that we already know that we can’t win, and it will be a long and useless war.

The last thing I see to do, is send up the white flag and surrender.

How do we get out of an unwinable, political war?

The question becomes, who are we fighting , ISIS or a political party and it’s leader’s?

Certainly anyone with any common sense would refuse to participate. Political correctness has no part in politics, war, or America. No matter who’s in charge.

If we are going to fight a war. Fight it to win. Let the Military do what they are best at and stand out of the way.

Restore our faith in our Nation, our People, our Constitution, our Leaders, our Government, and the Patriot’s and Soldier’s, instead of putting them all in jeopardy for the sake of one confused political party. Let’s fight to win this war! Or go back to sleep.

Accountable

Cathy McMorris Rodgers voted against a bill to help both College students and active service members. “HR 2669 - Student Loan Lender Subsidy Cuts and Student Grants,” increases Pell Grant amounts and reduced interest rates on new subsidized Stafford loans to undergraduate students, while offering service members loan payment deferment for up to 180 days after demobilization.

Cathy also claims to support American businesses, which conflicts with her vote against “H Amdt 1012 - Prohibits Federal Agencies from Contracting with Businesses Chartered in Bermuda or in the Cayman Islands.” Someone who claims to support American businesses should not vote against a bill aimed at protecting American companies from those who exploit the system to avoid paying taxes by offshoring business income.

It seems that Cathy McMorris Rodgers is counting on voters having an incredibly short attention span to get re-elected. Congress now has a lower approval rating than the English Crown during the Revolutionary War. This Congress has also been the most unproductive in our nation’s history, yet voters keep voting for the same do nothing politicians every year.

I for one will hold Cathy McMorris Rodgers accountable for her actions and inaction’s. I will be voting for Joe Pakootas.
