Colfax cemetery water system on the mend

A problem with the water system at Colfax Cemetery is now being remedied after a summer of work to fix the matter.

Encroaching dry grass seen in the past three months showed the result of having no water at the facility for all of June and half of July.

“The problem was multiple broken water lines that had us down for about six weeks,” said Craig Corbeill, Chairman, Colfax Cemetery District No. 6. “We understand the cemetery’s condition is not up to par.”

Corbeill indicated that the issue started when the system was not properly winterized last year.
