Almota guardrail catches truck

Chad M. Aeschliman of Colfax was unhurt when he lost control of a grain truck on the Almota grade road about 1.3 miles north of Almota Monday, July 28, at about 3:45 p.m. According to the Washington State Patrol report, he was driving a 1986 Peterbilt 358 down the hill and the truck went off the roadway to the right. The guardrail kept the semi from going down the embankment, but the load of grain spilled. The accident site was below the U portion of Almota Road at the bottom of the grade.
