Whitman County WSU Extension hosts two research tours in June

Whitman County WSU extension office has slated a research tour for western Whitman County for June 5 and a tour for the eastern side of the county for June 16.

The June 5 west side tour will start at 8 a.m. at the McGregor plant in LaCrosse with introductions by agent Steve Van Vleet. Tour stops will include the Bob Morasch farm at 8:30 for a report on uniform cereal variety testing by Dr. Stephen Guy; 10 a.m. at the Morasch farm for a report on stripe rust outlook and control measures by Dr. Tim Murry; 10:30 at the Mike Stubbs farm for a report on weed control in chickpeas and Brassica crops...
