Shoreline kickoff meet set

A kick-off meeting of the Shoreline Steering Committee will be May 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Whitman County Public Services Building in Colfax.

Whitman County along with the towns of Albion, Colfax, Palouse, Pullman, Rosalia and Tekoa are working to update their existing Shoreline Master Programs.

County Shorelines include the Snake and Palouse rivers, Union Flat, Cottonwood, Rock, Four Mile, Latah and Pine creeks and Rock Lake, among others.

The county has established a Shoreline Steering Committee to review work produced by the Consultant Team and county staff.
