Farmington website to become official

A new official website is coming together in Farmington to take the place of an existing unofficial one.

FarmingtonWA.com has been run by resident Karla Wagner, who has agreed to allow the city to take over the existing site, giving the town direct access to it.

“It’s to provide a single spot for the city to go to for information,” said Farmington Mayor James Woomack. “There was some concern that we needed to have control of it.”

Woomack indicated that town Councilman Joel Abbott will run the site, setting it up with a new carrier.
