Panel will discuss alternative justice

A panel discussion on alternative justice programs in Whitman County will be Dec. 2 in the Hecht Room of Neill Public Library from 7 to 9 p.m. Bill Druffel, chief deputy prosecutor; Dr. Faith Lutze, associate WSU professor of criminal justice, and Sgt. Dan Hargraves of the Pullman Police Dept. will discuss current and pending alternative justice programs, including drug courts and minor in possession pre-charge diversion. The discussion will also include the effectiveness and cost of such programs and their effect on police work in Pullman....
