County debuts de-icing

County Public Works Superintendent Mark Storey reported to county commissioners Monday morning that the department is initiating a limited de-icing program that was used on Monday for the first time.

The primary county roads that will get the de-icing are Colfax Airport Road, Pullman Airport Road, Albion Road and Pullman-Albion Road.

“We’re not going to de-ice at citizens’ requests,” Storey said. “We will undoubtedly get pressure for it. We’ll go through this winter and see how it goes.”
