Veterans’ Day rite at cemetery

More than 20 Colfax FFA members will put out 250 crosses this evening (Thursday) and 250 flags on Friday evening at the Colfax Cemetery as part of the Memorial Day observance.

Advisor Brian Long said FFA members also will conduct a ceremony at the World War II Monument in the cemetery at 10 a.m. on Monday.

The ceremony will include presentations about the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Memorial Day. Colfax senior Lindsay Webber and Craig Willson will sing during the ceremonies.

Long said FFA members will take everything down on Monday evening.
