Hospital Highlights

Our vision at Whitman Hospital and Medical Center is to be a leader in innovative, caring, personalized healthcare and we strive to be the best Critical Access Hospital in the nation. In fact, for two years in a row the National Rural Health Association has chosen WHMC as one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation for our patient experience.

Chances are you know someone who works at Whitman Hospital and Medical Center.

Our employees are the heart of what we do. Nurses’ Week is May 6th -12th with Hospital Week May 12th-18th. Everyone has an important role in creating a safe, caring and comfortable environment for our patients and families. Not only do we provide excellent healthcare for our communities, our patient satisfaction scores tell us we are doing a great job maintaining a patient-centered environment.

While our clinical employees are the ones who interact with our patients, our support departments such as maintenance and environmental services, are important in sustaining a safe, comfortable physical environment as well. All of our employees consistently demonstrate our values of respect, compassion, teamwork, stewardship and trustworthiness.

Please be sure to thank our nurses as well as the rest of our employees for the commitment to caring and creating an environment that is the best it can be to receive care. I am honored that I have the privilege to work with such a committed group of employees.
