Palmer-Bessey vows set for October

Larry and Jill Palmer of Garfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Genna, to Michael Bessey, son of Herb and Norma Bessey of Waitsburg.

A 2004 graduate of Garfield-Palouse High School, the bride-elect received a bachelor’s degree in 2008 from Central Washington University.

She majored in political science and law and justice with a minor in sociology.

She also studied at Western Governors University where she received her elementary teaching certificate in 2010.

Bessey graduated from Waitsburg High School in 2004 and earned associate degrees in arts and in science from Walla Walla Community College.

He then received a degree in mechanical engineering from Eastern Washington University in 2010.

After an October wedding at Moscow, the couple will make their home in the Prescott area where he works for John Grant and Son farms, and she plans to work in the local schools.

Genna is the granddaughter of George and Joyce Strong of Potlatch, and Michael is the grandson of Nancy and the late Marvin Nickerson of Idaho Falls.
