Flaggers now on Airport Rd.

Traffic control flaggers are now stationed at the first segment of Airport Road off Highway 26 as work on the project has extended to the west end of the road. M.A. DeAtley crews have removed pavement and are adding fill rock to that part of the road.

The western most segment of the road was left open when work on the project started last fall. When construction shut down last fall the road was blocked east of the Duncan Springs Road intersection and just west of the entry road into the airport.

Extension of the work zone to the Highway 26 intersection has made commuting difficult for employees at the McGregor office and the county shops and for residents along that segment of the road. County road employees still have access to the shop building via Duncan Springs Road off the Almota Road.
