‘Hello Dolly’ opens

tonight at Pullman

A two-week run of “Hello Dolly” begins tonight at the Regional Theater of the Palouse in Pullman. The show is scheduled to run through April 21 with the Friday, April 12, performance sold out.

The role of Dolly is played by Tina McClure of Moscow.

Other performance dates are April 13 at 1:30 and 7:30, April 17, 18 and 19, all at 7:30; April 20 at 1:30 and 7:30 and April 21 at 1:30.

The theater also plans a summer production of “The Sound of Music” and a fall production of “Grease.”

‘Pied Piper’ at Rosalia

The Missoula Children’s Theater and Rosalia students will present “The Pied Piper” Saturday, April 13. Shows will be at 3 and 5:30 p.m. located at the Rosalia School Gymnasium. Admission will be adults $8, students $6, 5 age under, free. Family Pass per show will be $20.

CLUBS & YOUTH GROUPS

P.E.O.

Chapter AF met April 8, at the home of Mae Schultz, hostess. Sixteen members responded to roll call by stating their favorite flower and why. At the end they had compiled a beautiful bouquet.

Raylene Lawrence was welcomed as a new member.

The next scheduled meeting April 22 will be hosted by Diane Solbrack and co-hosted by Jill Nelson, tentatively to be held at the Courtyard.

Hospital Auxiliary

Fifteen members met April 1 in the Hospital Annex meeting room. Mimi Ellis, Denise Fowler and Jim Heilsberg were present and thanked the auxiliary for all the work they have done through the years and for the many donations that have been made for equipment.

Ellis and Laurie Gronning were thanked for their efforts to obtain a grant that enabled the hospital administration to purchase vests for the auxiliary members.

Sue Henning reported on the Blue Bird Gift Shop. Many new items are coming in and the patrons are encouraged to come and shop.

County residents who have books, any new and nearly new items, or plants they are encouraged to contact an auxiliary member to donate these items for the sale at their spring festival.

Thrifty Grandmothers

Seventeen members and two guests attended the April meeting Monday. The grandmothers plan to take part in Relay for Life. They decided to increase the scholarship award from $500 to $750.

A total of $5,950 will be given to the community this month. Included will be $580 for new ticket booth at the football field, $2,000 for swim team, $200 medical need, $1,500 Endicott Library, $300 auto need, $250 senior meals.

Next meeting will be May 13 at the library.

Voters League

Pullman League of Women Voters will host a noontime conversation Thursday, April 18, beginning at noon in the Community Congregational Church on Campus Avenue. Devon Felsted of Pullman Disposal Service will discuss single stream recycling.

Winterbottom, Timothy Eli, born March 27 at nine pounds, 10 ounces to Bryce and Mandy Winterbottom of Lewiston, Idaho. Paternal grandparents are Chris and Ed Winterbottom of Pullman. Maternal grandparents are Sam and Asenath Busch of Lewiston. The baby joins sister Maryanne, 3, and brothers Caleb, 5, and Henry, 2.

Taylor, Tyson Robert Warren, born March 29 at seven pounds, 11 ounces, first child to Jarod and Alishia Taylor of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Bob and Tina Taylor of Pullman and Jolene and Bill Hopper of Lewiston. Maternal grandparents are Brent and Paula Meyer of Pullman.

Tops OSU term roll

Bryon C. Burleigh of Pullman, a computer science major, was among 837 students who earned all-A grades to lead the winter term honor roll at Oregon State University.

ON CAMPUS

Haydn’s “The Creation” with the Palouse Choral Society, Palouse Festival Orchestra, and Vandaleers at the UI Auditorium will be Sunday, April 21, 4 p.m. It will also will be performed at Clarkston High April 19 at 7:30 p.m.

ART

University of Idaho Prichard Art Gallery will feature work of eight graduate students in a Master of Fine Arts exhibit April 12 to May 4. Gallery hours are Tues.day through Saturday, 10 to 8 and Sundays, 10 to 6.
