City of Tekoa

2012 I & I Reduction Project – Phase 1

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 PM, April 12, 2013, at the Tekoa City Hall, 419 Washington St. (P.O. Box 927), Tekoa, WA, 99033, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

This project (Base Bid) provides for the construction of approximately 1,675 feet of 12-inch PVC sanitary sewer line , 160 feet of 12-inch PVC sanitary sewer line at the creek crossing, 424 feet of 10-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe, and 450 feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer line and concrete manholes.

Additive Alternate 1 provides for the construction of approximately 302 feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer lines and concrete manholes.

Additive Alternate 2 provides for the construction of approximately 317 feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer lines and concrete manholes.

And Additive Alternate 3 provides for the construction of approximately 323 feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer lines and concrete manholes, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions and the Standard Specifications.

Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by cash, a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, payable to the City of Tekoa, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of the contract price.

The Contractor will be allowed 35 working days to complete the work in the Base Bid, 10 working days for the work in Additive Alternate 1, 10 working days for the work in Additive Alternate 2, and 10 working days for the work in Additive Alternate 3.

American Towers LLC is proposing to construct a 100’ monopole telecommunications tower, overall height 103’, at 6002 SR 270 in Pulllman, Whitman County, Washington, tax parcel ID: 20000 45 15 35 7900.

The tower facility will include a 30’ x 70’ lease area and associated easements, along with a 30ft buffer surrounding the lease area.

American Towers LLC seeks comments from all interested persons on any potential significant impact the proposed action could have on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.1307, including potential impacts to historic or cultural resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.

The purchaser and any person claiming any interest in the purchaser's rights under the Contract or in the property who were given the Notice of Intent to Forfeit and the Declaration of Forfeiture have the right, for a period ending May 27, 2013, to commence a court action to set aside the forfeiture if the seller did not have the right to forfeit the Contract or failed to comply with the provisions of RCW Chapter 61.30.

VIII. The effect of the sale will be to deprive the Grantor and all those who hold by, through or under the Grantor of all their interest in the above-described property.
