NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following Whitman County roads/bridges will be closed to vehicular traffic for the 2013 Snake River Canyon Half Marathon, pursuant to R.C.W. 47.48.01, for the time periods specified below:

County Road No. 9000, the Wawawai Road from the Wawawai Park to Steptoe Canyon Road on March 2, 2013 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Sealed bids will be received on the following proposal by the Board of County Commissioners of Whitman County, State of Washington, at its office in the Whitman County Courthouse in Colfax, Washington, until 10:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time, on March 7, 2013 at which time they will be opened and publicly read. Handicap access may be obtained by the Mill Street entrance to the Courthouse.

Each bid is to be separately sealed in an envelope addressed to the Board of County Commissioners with the name of the bidder and item bid, including time and date of opening written plainly on the outside of the envelope. (NO FAXES ACCEPTED.)

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the bid which in its estimation best serves the interests of Whitman County.

An Ordinance of the Town of Malden, Washington, pertaining to setting water service charges, connection charges, turn off charges and all other charges required by the town in accordance with Ordinance 397 article 9 Section 9-01. This ordinance repeals section 9-04 of Ordinance 397 delinquencies-liens and all prior resolutions/ordinances which set water service rates and charges.This ordinance supercedes the charges and rates in Malden Municipal Code 13.04.090. This Ordinance was adopted at an official meeting of the Malden Town Council on February 18, 2013.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the laws of the State of Washington, RCW 17.10; that there is currently a Board Member vacancy for District 4. This is a four year term.

Application forms are available at the Adams County Noxious Weed Control Board office, 201 West Broadway, Ritzville, WA 99169. For further information please call (509) 659-1806 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday.

District 4:

That area of the county located east of Highway 395, south of Providence Road to SR 261, east of SR 261 from Providence Road to Ralston-Benge and the area south of Ralston-Benge and Benge-Winona Roads.

The Weed Board will hold a hearing to determine the most qualified candidates and these names will be submitted to the Adams County Commissioners for Appointment.

Interested persons residing in this section must make a written application that includes the signatures of at least ten (10) registered voters residing in the section supporting the nomination to the Adams County Noxious Weed Control Board. All applications are due at the ACNWCB office by 4:00 pm on March 7, 2013.
