Obama promises ‘concrete proposals’ on gun violence by January.

As a nation, our hearts continue to break as we attempt to understand the senseless killings of 26 precious souls in Newtown, Conn. As a mother of three, I cannot even comprehend the grief those families experienced as they waited to learn the fates of their loved ones.

As saddened as I have been over the recent slayings, I am also saddened by the speed with which Mr. Obama jumped on this opportunity to further his agenda to take guns out of the hands of American citizens.
