More snow blankets area

Snow began falling last Thursday morning and snow showers fell across the area almost all day. More snow fell Thursday night.

City plows were out early Friday morning, plowing and sanding city streets.

According to soil conservationist David Jones, accumulations amounted to two inches of snow. Temperatures dropped from the lower 30s and to the upper 20s.

The National Weather Service issued yet another Winter Weather Advisory for Colfax and the rest of the Palouse area Monday morning for one to three inches of snow.

Snow began before daybreak and as predicted lasted most of the day with temperatures in the high 20s.

Jones said on Monday Colfax received an additional two inches of snow.

The forecast for the rest of the week is for little to no precipitation with highs warming to the mid- to upper-30s.
