CLUBS & YOUTH GROUPS

Athenaeum

Next meeting is Jan. 18 at the Norma McGregor Room in the library with Mary Ann Mitchell as hostess.

Athenaeum Club’s annual Christmas luncheon was held Dec. 7 at the Methodist Church. The dining room and tables were set with Christmas decorations. Many members came to enjoy the luncheon that the ladies of the church prepared and to hear the program presented by Marcia Parish of Moscow. She brought samples of her extreme quilting. She showed several vests, handbags and wall hangings she designed herself. A self-taught quilter, she displayed unique and creative items. The Yearbook committee, consisting of Phyllis Kincaid, chairman, Kathy Davis, Pauline Gebhart, Joan Hubbard and Linda Marler were commended on their presentation.
