Addie Millhorn to mark 100th

Last year, at the age of 99, Addie Millhorn planted a garden like she has done every year since childhood. On Dec. 30, she will celebrate her 100th birthday.

It’s pretty amazing,” she said. “I don’t know why I lived this long.”

Daughter Maureen St. John said her mother moved from the farm home to an apartment just last year.

Millhorn was born in Fort Junction, Wash. Millhorn’s mother died when she was only four years old, and she was raised by her sisters. She finished high school in Colton.
