Veterans honored at Colfax

Jennings Elementary student boy scouts follow a Fairchild Air Force base color guard into the gym at the start of the school’s Veteran’s Day assembly Nov. 9.

The Rev. Floyd Overstreet was honored with a Quilt of Valor presentation at the veterans’ assembly at Jennings Elementary Friday. Overstreet, who is a Navy Veteran of World War II, was presented a quilt by Tami Drader, a member of the Whitman Sampler’s Guild in Colfax.
