Junior High mass concert brings 500 to Oakesdale

A total of 500 junior high students filled the gym as part of junior high mass band and mass choir 2012, presented by Southeastern Washington Music Educators.

The annual event was in Oakesdale for the first time, bringing members of 15 junior high school performance bands and choirs together.

“Everything went really well,” said Greg Kolar, Oakesdale band director. “The bands practice the music in advance so when they come it’s a matter of putting it all together.”
