Veterans' programs planned

Veterans’ Day programs are planned at both Colfax schools with the public invited to attend.

The program at Jennings Elementary will be Nov. 9 beginning at 9 a.m. in the old gym. The program will include the honor guard from Fairchild Air Force Base, local Boy Scouts and patriotic music with kindergarten students singing “She’s a Grand Old Flag.” Sixth graders will read patriotic messages.

Colfax High Associated Student Body plans a veterans’ program Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. in the CHS auditorium. Craig Willson will sing, and Vern Sharp, veteran of the Korean war, will give the talk.
