Farmington to debut first Harvest Festival

Headlined by the Fabulous Kingpins and the Tube-A-Palooza inner tube race, the first Farmington Harvest Festival will commence Saturday. A kids’ fun run and giant lentil box will also be on the agenda.

The Kingpins will be the final band in a lineup which will feature four other groups starting at 1:10 p.m.

Preparation for the debut has been underway for weeks, said chairman Frank Triplett.

“A bunch of people took vacation time, we’re now setting up refrigerators and freezers, decorating telephone poles with cornstalks and ribbons, sweeping the streets and making it pretty,” Triplett said.
