New LaCrosse library to show heritage photos

An exhibit of Whitman County’s rural heritage will be on display in the new LaCrosse Library for Farmer’s Festival June 16. The library is located in the Market which is being renovated by the LaCrosse Community Pride Group.

The exhibit features 30 images from our county’s past including farm scenes, railroading, founding families, businesses and other subjects.

Funding for the exhibit came from The McGregor Company and Whitman County Preservation Funds.

The complete Rural Heritage collection can be viewed online at http://www.whitco.lib.wa.us and was made possible through Library Services and Technology Act Funding administered through Washington State Library.
