Hospital Highlights

I continue to be reminded of what a great staff we have at Whitman Hospital and Medical Center. I regularly receive comments from patients and family members about the kindness and caring of our staff.

The week of June 14-21 we honor our NACs (certified nursing assistants). These individuals are vitally important to the care and well-being of our patients. They are the ones who provide personal care such as feeding and bathing, as well as assistance to the bathroom. They are often the ones to answer a call light and either respond to a patient need or inform nursing staff of a patient request. NACs are very important members of our care team.

Our registered nurses would tell you that they make their jobs much easier and allow them to focus on the care that requires an RN level of education and expertise. Our nursing assistants help us to create a therapeutic environment of compassion and caring.

Please thank and congratulate our NACs for the tremendously important work they do.
